WHAT IS SPIRITUAL ABUSE?

Any attempt to exert power and control over someone using religion, faith, or beliefs can be spiritual abuse. Spiritual abuse can happen within a religious organization or a personal relationship. (WebMD)

Some signs of spiritual abuse are (but not limited to) using scripture to control your choices, intimidation into conformity, censorship from asking questions, feeling isolated or rejected from your community, public shaming or humiliation, threat of spiritual consequences for not conforming and sexual or physical abuse within a spiritual community. Our mission is to help church abuse survivors pursue healing and rehabilitation through sharing their stories, fostering healthy collaborative communities and connecting them to a safe network of care providers while providing scholarships for care when needed.

MENTAL HEALTHCARE DATABASE

We are currently building a database of licensed mental healthcare providers by state that have experience with or a heart to work with spiritual abuse survivors. If you are interested in possibly being listed in this database, please fill out the Mental Health Provider Questionnaire linked below. Once it is received, someone from our organization will reach out to you shortly to set up a phone conversation.

We make a lot of effort to help achieve the global poverty rate decline, support education for children living in poor families. Many kids can't come back to school because of poverty, so they need your help to have a better education.
